The Oil Driver
Every
grilling recipe starts with "when the grill is hot, oil the
grates". We do this so our food won't stubbornly stick to it and to
get those classic grill line. The most common way to do this is by wiping
the grates with an oil soaked paper towel and some long tongs, which more
often then not, gets messy and complicated. This is an important step in
the grilling process, it should be practical, effortless and make food
taste even more delicious. That's where the OIL DRIVER comes
in.
A
Driver is one of the standard golf clubs carried by all golfers.
An "Oil Driver" is
one of the standard grilling accessories that should be carried by all
grillers.
The Oil Driver
or The Cooking oil applicator for a hot
grill
The “oil driver” is a cooking
oil applicator for the hot grates of the grill prior to grilling food.
This will prevent food from sticking or burning on to the grates and
will make nice, even and tastier grill marks on the food.
Most common way to oil your hot
grill is to first brush it clean then apply oil with a saturated paper
towel using thongs. This is time consuming and impractical to do on a
regular basis.
The idea behind the oil driver is
practicality! Once you’ve brushed your grill, you run the oiling rig
over it and you’re ready to grill on a non-stick surface. No mess no
fuss!
